“ Los Latinos Amigos Restaurante is a great new addition to Baton Rouge's growing Honduran food scene! And what a major addition it is! The restaurant is quite large and can seat your whole crew easily with room to spare! It's at the northwest corner of Florida Blvd. and N. Donmore Avenue, right next to a Chevron filling station. Like the restaurant itself, the parking lot is large and can accommodate all of your parking needs. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by motifs featuring the Honduran flag and tropical colors. There's window seating, booths, or tables in abundance. Then there is the extensive menu. I'm enjoying working my way through that. Honduran food is similar to Mexican and other Central American dishes, but has its own unique dishes and flavors! There's some great uses of yucca and plantains, and the really tasty thinly sliced slaw is found as a topper on many dishes. Another great flavor is the pickled onions that are found on some dishes. Exploring this cuisine is an interesting and tasty experience that everyone should enjoy! ”
“ I've been twice and enjoying discovering their menu. So far both visits were fresh and flavorful. My first time I chose the shrimp diablo dish - REAL tail on fresh shrimp - big perfectly tender- in a spicy red sauce - pepper , onions corn tortillas with a cucumber and tomato salad and fluffy rice . Delicious. The second visit I picked the Honduran enchiladas. Crispy tortilla base stacked high with fresh crunchy veggies so darn good . Their squeeze bottle hot sauces pack a good heat specifically the green. New restaurant that is differently should be checked out . ”
